Another day like today

I want more days like today...I was able to clean the kitchen (a good cleaning, like before baby), living room, both bathrooms, take a shower, a couple loads of laundry, made spaghetti sauce (from scratch), went and bought my mom a birthday card (today is the big day...I have an excuse for being late now) and visited with a friend from work. I would like to say it is all in a days work but this is the first day like this in over 6 weeks. Caroline slept, was content and ate..with very little complaining. I felt super accompolished. I know that even when I don't get all the "busy" work done in a day...I have to be proud that my baby is happy, fed and in a clean diaper because of me. That "work" is the most important work of all. But with that said...today was a wonderful day...did I mention that she slept 5 straight hours last night...is this heaven? Tomorrow is a new day...I wonder what it shall bring.

Caroline Rose

I have officially been Caroline's Mommy for almost 5 weeks. It has been the most amazing and challenging few weeks. I have wanted nothing more in life then to be her Mommy but I never imagined how hard it would be. You can try to imagine the long nights of feeding, diaper changes, and crying because babies like it, but you really cannot know what it is like till you live it. Even though the nights are hard, I find myself looking in amazement at my baby girl, (she looks so beautiful by the dull light that the TV gives off at 3 am, most likely a tv show on Nick at Night). As I type this...my young daughter cries out for her Mommy.
